Slippery Elm is a unique herb with many wonderful healing properties. It is high in fiber and can be used to relieve both diarrhea and constipation. It also helps reduce nausea and vomiting. It has amazing anti inflammatory properties and helps soothe the GI tract and is an excellent treatment for ulcers. It’s been used in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the lungs (asthma & bronchitis), kidneys, bladder and joints (arthritis). Slippery Elm has often been referred to as Mother Nature’s Pepto-Bismol (Note: Pepto-Bismol should never be used on pets due to its aspirin content).

NOTE: Due to the popularity and effectiveness of this herb as well as an increase in worldwide demand, the cost of this product has dramatically increased. We have made every attempt to keep the cost down for as long as possible.

My holistic vet reccomended giving slippery elm to my dog the other year when he had a doosy of a stomach upset. He’s got allergies and some other issues so I’m hesitant to just shove anything into him when he’s not feeling good. She told me how to do it with capsules but I was really glad when I found out I could get it in bulk! Saves me time when I’m feeding and someone needs a dose or when one of the animals is actively sick. The directions of how to make a paste to syringe it into them is also a big help. Seriously something I recommend to all my pet friends to keep on hand for stomach upsets of any type; puking, diarrhea, excess gas. I started giving it to my one cat in place of the miralax the conventional vet suggested putting him on since he’s gotten constipated on us twice for no apparent reason. So far so good.
