Product Description

FleaGuard Natural Flea/Tick Powder for Dogs (Ingredients: Pure Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth & Bug Repelling Essential Oils)

The 100% natural, safe, and effective solution to flea and tick infestation.

FleaGuard is a Non-toxic Control for fleas and ticks on dogs

A small amount of FleaGuard powder, 1/2 teaspoon, can be used applied to smaller dogs and puppies, and 1 teaspoon for larger dogs. Apply FleaGuard carefully around the ears (avoiding the face), over the back, around the tail, legs, abdomen and between the toes. One dusting is sufficient to treat short-haired dogs. Long-haired dogs may need two treatments. NOTE: This product is not recommended for cats as it contains essential oils. Please click here for FleaGuard for Cats.

FleaGuard is more effective if the dog is bathed and combed first. Severely matted hair should be clipped before FleaGuard is applied. The FleaGuard should remain on the animal for as long as possible, at least a week, before bathing is resumed.

After treating the dog, apply FleaGuard to the areas where the pet sleeps or roams. Thoroughly powder all sides of the pet’s bedding, including baskets or boxes where the pet sleeps. FleaGuard can also be applied to lawn areas without damage. An average sized backyard can usually be treated with around 1 cup of FleaGuard.

Alternatives to Hazardous Products

The key to flea control is to take preventative measures that are simple and non-toxic, thus replacing the use of toxic flea collars and powder.

Most commercial flea collars kill fleas with powerful nerve gases such as organophosphates and carbamate compounds. These toxins can be absorbed into the bloodstream — of both pets and people. Children are especially at risk. (It is difficult to make children understand they must wash their hands each time they touch an impregnated collar.)

Ask yourself this, if you’ve dusted the dog with a flea powder containing a pesticide, when is it safe for you and your children to touch the pet?

FleaGuard comes in a 2 and 4 lb. pound package.
