Our Signature Line Organic Herbal Formulas were created exclusively for The Holistic Horse by a leading equine veterinarian specializing in endocrinology, herbs and nutrition.
Nature has provided us with a variety of wonderful healing herbs which we have custom blended to benefit your horse’s health.
These amazing formulas contain the very finest certified organic herbs. They are handcrafted and mixed in small batches to ensure freshness and quality. We freshly grind many of our herbs upon order. They are also non-GMO, without fillers and are free of sugar and non-structural carbohydrates (NSC). Therefore these formulas are suitable to feed to horses with IR/Metabolic issues.
While other companies may offer similar products, many of their herbs are not organic. Our formulas also have a much higher concentration of herbs per dose ensuring greater effectiveness. They also contain unique herbs not found in other products.
Healing Herbs and their beneficial properties:
Organic Anise: An effective herb for respiratory issues. A natural expectorant and antispasmodic. Also therapeutic for the digestive system.
Organic Astragalus: One of the most powerful immune building plants on the planet! It has anti inflammatory properties and helps to resolve respiratory infections. It also has antibacterial properties and supports numerous internal organs.
Organic Cayenne Pepper: Aids in breaking up and moving congested mucus. The main ingredient is Capsaicin which stimulates secretions and helps clear mucus from the lungs.
Organic Elecampane: Soothes bronchial passages and acts as an expectorant for lung cleansing. Beneficial for supporting any respiratory condition which produces mucus discharge. Helps to reduce chronic bronchitis secretions.
Organic Lobelia: One of the most powerful herbs in the plant kingdom for relaxation. It contains strong anti-spasmodic properties. Excellent support for the respiratory system as an expectorant and its bronchodilating effects help open airways and encourage deeper, stronger breathing.
Organic Mullein: Nourishes and strengthens the lungs. Best known for treating respiratory disorders.
Organic Peppermint: Has anti-congestive, antispasmodic and expectorant properties. Peppermint has an anti-histamine effect combined with a strong cooling action of menthol that makes it an effective decongestant and mucus dissolver.
Organic Stevia: A natural sweetener, anti bacterial, anti oxidant, promotes proper digestion, contains potassium zinc, magnesium and vitamin B3.

A year ago my 25 yr old mustang developed respiratory issues. One evening while lunging he started coughing a lot (just after a short amount of time) and blood was coming from his nose! Of course, I freaked out! Called the vet. She gave me a plan of attack with options of medication. I am a faithful believer of as much holistic care as possible and had seen this “Breeze” product when placing orders for other supplements. I ordered right away, they rushed me a shipment, and within 3 days of use Louie was back to himself! One time I forgot to order in time, was out of product for a week and didn’t that cough come back. I have an Arab who last year in 2019 started to have a terrible cough out of the blue, he never coughed consistently in the 8 years I’ve owned him. It started last Spring and was on and off all year. It got so bad that in early 2020 I had planned to take him to Tufts Equine Respiratory lab to get a diagnosis and treatment plan. One night Lenny couldn’t stop coughing it was really scary, it was nonstop, and the Vet had to come for an emergency call and Lenny got shots of steroids and a round of steroids to stop his cough. I went on line that night to find something to help him. I found The Holistic Horse website. First I noticed the way they list the ingredients and explain what they do. I LOVE THAT! I’d rather treat my horse organically if I can. I found Breezee and the Allergee and the Bentonite clay. I bought all three. I was so excited and anxious for them to get here that I called and talked to Chris, and told her the story about my horse, his coughing and going to Tufts. She thought the Breezee might be what Lenny needed. When I got the products, I used them right away and no more coughing! I ordered three more containers of Breezee, because I wasn’t sure how Covid might affect shipping. My order came with a handwritten note from Chris hoping that Lenny was doing better. The company is fantastic , but the phone calls and notes really set them apart from the rest and make them such a special company, because they really care.
