I own a horse rescue and last year took in an neglected, abused, emancipated older gelding. His head hung low, so weak he could barely stand, he struggled to move. He was covered with body sores and dried manure from his diarrhea. The vet confirmed all of his chewing teeth had fallen out, recommending I add a probiotic to warm wet mashes.
