Magnesium is an essential constituent of bones and teeth. One of the signs of Magnesium deficiency is hyper irritability, therefore supplementation of Magnesium can produce a calming effect. Magnesium is also needed for neuromuscular transmission, muscular health and a healthy nervous system. For EMS (equine metabolic syndrome) or IR (insulin resistance) horses, sufficient magnesium is essential for normal secretion of insulin and the uptake of glucose. Horses with IR, often display the typical “cresty neck” or fat pads that can be associated with a lack of magnesium. Magnesium helps break down these fat deposits.

This magnesium is fantastic! The horses eat it really well and it works amazing because it is a highly bio-available form of magnesium! Wonderful results with aiding sore muscles, focus/anxiety, and metabolism. This is the ONLY magnesium supplement I recommend now to my clients. A side note, most horses and humans are deficient in magnesium.
